POLYSTRADA SEALANT is a bituminous mastic formulated with bitumen and elastomeric resins, ideally suited for producing asphaltic plug joints in road and highway decks. Its special formulation results in low viscosity, leading to excellent workability. This means POLYSTRADA SEALANT blends optimally with the aggregates that make up the plug joint.  Additionally, POLYSTRADA SEALANT exhibits excellent mechanical properties in terms of elasticity and deformability, which translate into significant resistance to fatigue and a remarkable ability to absorb thermal expansion, contraction, and deflection due to vehicular traffic.  Depending on specific requirements, POLYSTRADA SEALANT can also be used for sealing cracks, as well as contraction, expansion, or construction joints in both asphalt concrete and cement concrete pavements.

POLYSTRADA SA is a self-adhesive membrane, 2,5 mm thick, made of highly modified bitumen reinforced with glass fiber filaments grid and polyester TNT.  POLYSTRADA SA membranes are designed and manufactured to create a layer within asphalt concrete that possesses waterproofing properties and allows for the absorption and interruption of deformation stresses. This membrane provides an innovative solution for reinforcing the structure of asphalt concrete pavement and serves the function of a SAMI (Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer).  It features anti-pumping, anti-cracking, and high reinforcement capabilities to strengthen and distribute loads, thereby increasing the service life of the pavement and mitigating the upward and downward movement of cracks that lead to pavement degradation.  POLYSTRADA SA should be applied between asphalt concrete layers and positioned at various depths within the stratigraphy according to the needs or purposes of the intervention.
