The reconstruction of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure presents a unique opportunity to introduce innovative technologies, circular economy principles, and modern approaches to the decarbonisation of road construction. At the same time, the European Green Transition and the development of green public procurement are shaping new requirements for materials, technologies, and the environmental performance of infrastructure projects.

To promote the adoption of environmentally sustainable and circular approaches in Ukraine’s road construction sector by discussing mechanisms of green public procurement, harmonising national regulations with European Union practices, disseminating innovative technological solutions, and identifying key barriers and opportunities for their implementation within the Ukrainian road industry.

— Green Public Procurement as a tool for modernising the road sector and stimulating environmental innovation;
— European experience in applying environmental criteria in road construction and the CAM Strade model in Italy;
— Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) as tools for verifying the environmental performance of materials;
— Circular economy and the use of secondary materials in the production of road construction products;
— Decarbonisation technologies and innovative solutions for reducing the carbon footprint of road infrastructure;
— Practical experience in implementing innovative materials and technologies in Italy and Ukraine;
— Prospects for adapting Ukrainian legislation and technical standards to European Union requirements.

5. Mykola Berezovskyi — President of the NGO “National Association of Road Builders of Ukraine”, representative of the professional road construction community and expert in road infrastructure development.

6. Olena Bondar — Doctor of Economics, Professor, member of the EU BIM Task Group, expert at the Digital Construction Office of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

7. Svitlana Berzina — President of the All Ukrainian NGO “Living Planet”, Deputy Chair of Technical Standardisation Committee TC 82 “Environmental Protection”, expert in environmental standardisation, sustainable consumption and green public procurement.

8. Roman Zinchenko — Co founder and Head of the NGO “Greencubator”, expert in climate innovation, green entrepreneurship and low carbon technology development.

9. Dmytro Nabatov — Co founder and R&D Director of IPT Production LLC, expert in innovative materials and decarbonisation technologies for road construction.

Special attention will be given to the practical aspects of implementing innovative road construction materials, technologies for reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, the use of secondary raw materials, and the role of environmental criteria in procurement as a mechanism for stimulating innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian manufacturers.
